WEBINAR ON PRIMATES OF NORTHEAST INDIA

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A PRIMATE IN THE LAND OF RHINOS, TIGERS AND ELEPHANTS?

“The past, present and future of the primates in Northeast India”

Primates are the most varied group of extant mammals and are highly visual, lively and clever creatures. Also, they are very successful at adapting to different environmental opportunities. But they must navigate complex social landscapes in their daily lives as they are not particularly fast runners, they do not have the sharpest hearing, they cannot fly, nor are they efficient hunters. Moreover, they are relatively unspecialized compared to animals such as birds, horses, and cats. So how do they survive in the land of rhinos, tigers and elephants, who are fast runners, great hunters and have the sharpest hearing? To know more about the life of primates join us on the webinar – PRIMATES OF NORTHEAST INDIA at The Nature’s Eye on October 29th 2022.
