Mr. Ninad Gosavi is a passionate wildlife biologist, a PhD Scholar, an educator and

herpetofauna expert with a strong background in animal communication, amphibian ecology,

and science education. With a Master’s degree in Zoology (Animal Physiology), Mr. Gosavi

has dedicated his career to studying amphibians and reptiles, focusing on their vocalizations,

behavior, and evolutionary adaptations in the wild.

Currently, he is pursuing his PhD and soon will submit his thesis. He has served in

various research roles at leading conservation institutions, including the National Centre for

Biological Sciences (NCBS) and the Nature Conservation Foundation (NCF). His extensive

fieldwork across the biodiversity-rich Western Ghats has contributed to groundbreaking

discoveries, including the description of new frog species and studies on frog vocalization and

habitat dynamics.


Also, Mr. Gosavi is the Chief Editor of the Amphibians of India website and a well-

known science communicator with over 30,000 followers on his educational platform “Sci


Bhai.”

Through this workshop, Mr. Gosavi brings his rich field experience and engaging


teaching style to guide participants through the fascinating world of reptiles and amphibians-

covering evolution, morphology, field ethics, and identification skills critical for aspiring


herpetologists.

We are honored to have Mr. Gosavi lead this course and inspire a new generation of

learners to understand and protect India’s hidden herpetofaunal diversity.
