Chai Eng Law’s fascination with birds began during her treks,

where their beauty and diversity sparked her desire to learn

more. This curiosity led her to complete the Basic Ornithology

Course from BNHS and later another from NPTEL, certified

by IIT Madras. Introduced to eBird during her BNHS course, Chai was captivated by the concept of Citizen Science and

became an active contributor, channeling her passion into

meaningful data collection. Currently, she is an eBird reviewer

for Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas, and Morena

(Madhya Pradesh), where her dedication and expertise help

enrich the global birdwatching community’s efforts in

conservation and research.
