MAP YOUR FUTURE TODAY WITH QGIS:

3 Days workshop on QGIS

(QGIS Basics + Spatial Analysis + Hands-on experience)

GIS was at first limited to geographers and data scientists, but now it is used in a vast number of fields like GIS in Mapping, Disaster management, and mitigation, Natural resource & management, Surveying, Telecom & Network Services, and Agriculture application & Transportation planning.

Do You Want to add QGIS to your Toolkit, but don’t know where to start?

The Nature’s Eye presents a 3 days workshop on QGIS. Quantum GIS (QGIS) is the most accessible and thus popular Geographic Information System right now. It’s an open-source that supports most geospatial vector and raster file types and database formats. It has the flexibility to scale with user requirements: from a simple data viewer to data collection, editing, and analysis to serving data on the web.

What will you learn?

Day 1 – (QGIS for Beginners)

  • Basics of GIS and Remote sensing and its application in different fields

  • Raster and Vector concepts

  • Introduction to QGIS Software

  • Georeferenced and different types of Projection

Day 2 – (Spatial Analysis)

  • Creation of Point, Line, and polygon shapefile

  • Digitization in QGIS

  • How to access open-source satellite images for any part of the world

  • Downloading to DEM datasets

Day 3 – (Application based on the real scenario)

  • Modelling with QGIS tools

  • Band combination, Visualization, and image interpretation of satellite image

  • Preparation of Elevation, Contour, and Slope map using DEM data
