Nature Trail at Bombay Natural History Society, Conservation Education Centre

A People Of The Forest Initiative
Woken up with the chirping of birds? Why not follow them into the wild?
Join us for a Morning Nature Trail at BNHS – Conservation Education Centre (CEC), nestled in the lush green buffer zone of Sanjay Gandhi National Park – one of Mumbai’s last remaining wildernesses.
As the city stirs to life, step into the serenity of this forested haven and witness nature waking up in all its glory. From the early calls of birds like sunbirds and drongos, to butterflies basking in the morning sun and perhaps a shy mongoose darting across the path — every step holds a new discovery.
Whether you're a bird enthusiast, nature lover, photographer, or just someone who craves a peaceful escape from the city, this trail offers the perfect start to your day.
Let the forest be your morning alarm. Come explore!
Environmental Monitoring - Conventional and Advanced Methods
Moving with Time in Environmental Monitoring
Environmental monitoring is a tool that helps us understand the state of the natural environment. It involves collecting and analyzing environmental data to assess environmental conditions and trends. The career scope in environmental monitoring is vast, spanning fields like environmental science, engineering, remote sensing, and policy. Professionals in this domain analyze data, develop strategies, and implement solutions to address environmental challenges such as pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss. From monitoring air and water quality to designing conservation plans, careers in environmental monitoring offer opportunities to make a tangible impact on safeguarding our planet's health and sustainability. Artificial intelligence (AI) can be used for environmental monitoring by analyzing large amounts of data, identifying trends, and making judgments based on those findings and is being widely used in the field.
