        Dr. Abhijeet Bayani is a passionate wildlife biologist, arachnologist, and biodiversity educator with extensive expertise in spider taxonomy, behavioural ecology, and field-based biodiversity research. 
      He holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, and has a decade of experience in research, teaching, and field ecology, he has made significant contributions to the study and documentation of Indian biodiversity. He has worked with leading conservation organizations such as the Wildlife Conservation Trust and the Wildlife Trust of India and he has served as an Instructor at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.
           His work in arachnology includes studies on spider diversity, morphology, and taxonomy, along with his authored handbook “On the Web with Spiders: A Field Guide with Notes” (IISc Press, 2022), which reflects his deep engagement with spider identification and natural history. As an educator and naturalist, he has conducted numerous field workshops, biodiversity surveys, and training programs for students, forest staff, and local communities. 
            We are honored to have Dr. Abhijeet Bayani as the resource person for this course, where his experience in spiders ecology, wildlife research, and experiential teaching will provide good insights and experience in spiders identification and field observation.
