About the Teacher

Environmental and Sustainability Expert

Manikandan V is an Environmental and Sustainability Expert with over 15 years of experience in sectors such as road infrastructure, high-rise buildings, oil & gas, and municipal solid waste management. He holds an undergraduate degree in B. Tech, Master’s in Environmental Engineering (2010–2012), a Master’s in Social Work (2022–2024), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Law and Policy.

 

He has been actively involved in several major infrastructure and urban development projects funded by World Bank, ADB, JICA, and KfW, specializing in Environmental and Social Due Diligence, regulatory compliance, and sustainable planning.

 

Currently, Manikandan serves as an Environmental Expert in the Kerala Solid Waste Management Project, working as part of the Technical Support Consultant team, where he contributes to improving waste management practices and environmental governance at the urban level.

 

Through his online classes, he aims to equip learners with practical skills, policy knowledge, and field-based insights in the areas of environment, sustainability, and social impact.
