Dr. Ketan s. Tatu is an environmental scientist and wetland ecologist with two successful doctoral research programs in wetland ecology-one completed in India (freshwater wetland) and the other in USA(coastal wetland), over two decades of professional experience in wetland research and monitoring, biodiversity and wildlife research across diverse ecosystems, and conservation planning.
He has extensively worked on wetlands, waterbirds, flora–fauna surveys, and ecological assessments across Gujarat and India. He has served as senior & principal scientist at GEER foundation and worked on major national projects related to wetlands, climate change impacts, and wildlife management.
Dr. Tatu has also contributed to international research on wetlands in the USA, authored numerous scientific papers, books, and field guides, and led multiple large-scale biodiversity monitoring programs. 
As the founding director of the foundation for ecological welfare (few), he continues to support research, capacity-building, and public awareness through publications, documentaries and expert training sessions on wetlands and ornithology.
