Conservation and the human wildlife interface Certification Course
The human–wildlife interface refers to areas where human activities and wildlife habitats overlap. As human populations grow and expand into forests, grasslands, and coastal areas, interactions between people and wildlife are becoming more frequent. These interactions can bring both benefits and serious challenges for conservation.
As human populations expand and natural habitats shrink, interactions between people and wildlife are increasing across the globe. This online course explores the human–wildlife interface—the spaces where conservation goals and human livelihoods meet. This three day online course provides a comprehensive exploration of human–wildlife interactions (HWI), combining ecological theory, social science perspectives, and applied conservation practice. Each day builds progressively from foundational concepts to research methods and real-world management applications.
